Dress Code and
Uniform for CDA

Most items can be purchased at Mara’s, just East of CDA. Please make sure ballet slippers are NOT too big, they should fit like a glove, otherwise, the teacher and examiner cannot see a fully stretched foot accurately.

All students requiring soft blocks and pointe shoes must go to DanceShoppe at Yonge and Sheppard or the Shoe Room at the National Ballet School to get properly fitted.

Character skirts can be purchased through Mara’s, and do take some time as they are made to order.

All students must come to each and every class with their hair securely in a bun. Students are expected to have the CDA uniform appropriate to their grade by the middle of October. Any questions in regards to uniform should be addressed to [email protected].
